Hello Everyone!
My name is Jessica Williams-Diederich and I am going to be a junior at Northern Arizona University this upcoming year. I'm actually very excited about going back. I have a great time up in Flagstaff going to school with all my friends. I am a history major and secondary education minor. I plan on becoming a high school World History teacher in the near future. I have always been fascinated by history ever since I was little and then I got into a history class in high school and it was extremely boring. All the other kids around me complained constantly about how pointless and boring it was and I couldn't help but agree with them. Then in 10th grade I had a wonderful teacher that made World History seem exciting and fun. From that point on I thought since I love history so much I would be able to make others love it...or at least like it a little. I also want to travel around the world. I feel it would greatly enhance my teaching abilities if I actually have been to some of the places I am teaching about. I don't know where I would like to settle down and teach at, but I will probably start off teaching in Arizona and then move on from there.
Hopefully this ENG 102 class will help enhance my writing abilities and improve my grades in future courses I will take. I believe that this class will belp me learn how to set up a proper research paper whilch will be very usefull in my history courses. Also seeing as this class is my first online course it will be a reference to see if I want to take any more online classes. I also will (hopefully) learn how to use a lot of different online resources that I can use not only for this class but future classes as well. I definately think this class will be a lot of work, but I believe I will get a lot out of it.
