D#3, HW#6, Analyzing Rhetorical Situation (confused!)
This assignment is confusing for me. I thought WP#1 would be a stepping stone to WP#3 and would help us develop into our final project. The syllabus says that "to help you better understand what you are doing in WP#1, also analyze the rhetorical situation of WP#1. In other words, not the audience and topic you will be researching (you've already identified those); instead, discuss the audience and topic of WP#1." This is on pg.21. I would attempt to do this assignment but I know I would mess it up really bad because I am so confused. I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions that anyone has to offer. I could be over thinking something that is super easy and just confusing myself =P I've been known to do that from time to time, but your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

I have the same problem. I am still confused on this one. Sorry that I have no real answers to help, but just letting you know that you are not alone on this.
If you still need info on this, I just did it tonight and feel like I got a decent grasp on it, feel free to check mine out in example.
wp#1--research proposal...if it were "real" your classmates and I would have to approve your research project before you did it
wp#3--report out on the answer to your research question to an audience that actually cares/can do something about it.
